What does it mean to “fear the Lord?”

Our God is far more powerful than the hottest sun’s fire and He can’t be controlled. But He can be trusted.

“If you have raced with men on foot, and they have wearied you, how will you compete with horses? And if in a safe land you fall down, how will you do in the jungle of the Jordan?”

During bad times, we each need to discover where our faith is solid, so that outside pressures won’t crush us.

Why do we resist dying so much? Even as Christians we cling to this world like our feet and the earth’s surface are both made of Velcro.

Pressure can turn coal into a diamond or into coal dust. When life’s pressure squeezes us, which one will we become? It’s our choice.

In the wilderness, the Israelites grumbled and complained about everything, including the blessings God gave them.

In Victorian England, just at sunset, a lamplighter would kindle the lights on the darkening streets of London. One man would visit eighty lamps, lighting each wick at dusk and extinguishing each flame at daybreak.

Moses’ people saw life-changing miracles. So why was their faith so weak?
