The Hidden Prophesy

Hidden in Plain Sight

Why do I call this passage a hidden prophesy? Because in four decades, I have never heard a pastor, minister or Bible study leader teach on these verses. Yet this promise contained in Isaiah 19 astounds me.

24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.” (Isaiah 19:24-25 NIV)

Assyria’s Borders

when I first came across this prophesy, I looked up Assyria on a map. The ancient Assyrian Empire completely swallowed modern day Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Israel. It also carved a chunk out of Turkey, Egypt, Kuwait and Iran. Only Saudi Arabia stayed completely outside Assyria’s control.

Except for Israel, all these countries practice Islam. The majority of people worship Allah. This is true in modern day Egypt too. So the prophesy in these verses is applies to Jews and Muslims living in the Middle East.

The Promise

Lets look at two more verses in Isaiah 19.

21 So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the Lord and keep them. (Isaiah 19:21 NIV)

Or verse 23.

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. (Isaiah 19:23 NIV)

The longer passage, Isaiah 19:18-25, clearly indicates a massive, life-changing move of the Spirit among the worshippers of Allah.

Jesus’ Promise to the Jews

(Zechariah 12:10 NIV)

The spiritual harvest has already begun.

A Modern Day Fulfillment

For over 33 years, 30 Days of Prayer to the Muslim World has called Christians to pray for the followers of Allah during Ramadan. This booklet or PDF contains a personal story or interesting cultural fact about a specific group of Muslims each day, followed by a suggested prayer.

Christians around the world pray for Allah’s followers during Ramadan and the Holy Spirit is answering.

Jesus is appearing to other Muslims around the world in dreams and visions. Followers of Allah are saying yes to the Lord’s personal invitation

At the same time a revival fire has been kindled in Israel. The Messianic Church is growing.

My Spiritual Point

This hidden prophesy is being fulfilled in our time. Jesus is beginning to reap a glorious harvest in the Middle East and it’s a miraculous move of God.
