Prickly Words of Wisdom by Joyce Meyer

Joyce Meyer says:

A prickly pear cactus with two yellow flowers.

Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may be given a cactus, but you don’t have to sit on it. (Joyce Meyer)

Pessimists Despair

Sometimes people wear their negativity like a badge of honor. Pessimists proudly proclaim themselves realists. But they aren’t. Because a negative person  will constantly dismisses any light he or she sees.

Depression, anxiety, hopelessness and suicidal thoughts are the fruit of always gazing into the darkness, predicting only the worst outcome Personal despair can even lead to violence.

The World-Changers

Yes, in our world today, we do face tremendous problems. But the people effectively finding creative solutions don’t dwell in a negative headspace. Instead they have hope, believing their actions will make a true difference in the world. And often they’re right.

As Christians, we serve the the God of the impossible.

We also follow the One who saw clearly the evil of this world and chose to bring light into our darkness.

Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan—

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;

on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.

(Isaiah 9:1-2 NIV)
