The Reason Why

The Primary Purpose

Stairs within a stone tower lead upward into the light.

The primary purpose of prayer is not to get something but to know Someone. (David Platt)

I agree 100% with this statement.

I have a deeper understanding of what our loving God is like and it grew out of His unusual answers to my prayers. He didn’t let me sidestep the painful parts of my journey. I’m sure there’ll be pain in my future.

But the growth and the personal understanding I’ve gained about God’s nature? It makes me grateful for my past.

Lead on, Lord.
