The Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of prayer is not what we think.

Stairs within a stone tower lead upward into the light.

The primary purpose of prayer is not to get something but to know Someone. (David Platt)

I agree 100% with this statement.

I have a deeper understanding of what our loving God is like and it grew out of His unusual answers to my prayers. He didn’t let me sidestep the painful parts of my journey. But my trust in Him is deeper now.

The growth and the personal understanding I’ve gained about God’s nature? It strengthens me to face my unknown future.

Lead on, Lord.
