Who Do You See?

These People I’d Like to Know

Four young Muslim women being tourists.

You can’t influence people you refuse to associate with. (Andy Stanley)

What do you see in the above image?  I see 4 girl friends enjoying a holiday together.

A Muslim mother enjoying her daughter.

I see a young daughter who feels very loved by her mom.

A young Muslim girl putting on her glasses.

I see a teenager, putting on  wire-rim glasses, just like I wear.. She’s even wearing a head scarf in one of my favorite colors.

Many Muslims are Terrorized

A father and his young son, posing for a family portrait. All these  people are Muslims, Yes, they bow down to Allah, But I don’t see any terrorists in these images. I see parents loving their children and young women smiling and  having a good time.

I see people like me.

They do follow a different god.. But most Muslims are very family-oriented. They want their children to enjoy good lives.

Just as we do.

The people who suffer most at the hands of violent jihadists are peace-loving Muslims. Want proof? Read up what’s been happening in Afghanistan, since the Taliban re-conquered the country. Afghanistan is 99.7% Muslim

In the west, we face occasional terrorist attacks. In the Middle East, these people  have to live for years under the brutal rule of harsh conquerors, who claim to worship the same god.

My Spiritual Point:

Does Jesus love the followers of Allah?

Yes He does.

In 1993, over 30 years ago, a group of Christian leaders in the Middle East gathered to pray for the Islamic world. At that time, the Holy Spirit put on their heart to stir fellow believers world-wide to pray for Muslims during their month-long celebration of Ramadan. The annual 30-day prayer guide is available on this website.

Because of our prayers, Muslims all over the world are having dreams and visions of Jesus. Instead of worshipping Allah, these people turn and start serving the Prince of Peace.

This unusual harvest was prophesied about in Isaiah.

2In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth.25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”  (Isaiah 19:24-25 NIV)

More Muslims are coming to Christ today, than in the past 14 centuries combined and it’s the result of our prayers.
